You've got a nerve!

Strange day today.

It started in the local Accident and Emergency department!!

I've been troubled these last two weeks with a trapped nerve in my neck and shoulders and have been having treatment for it.
Last night in bed things took a very sudden turn for the worse. My whole neck went into excruciating spasm that had no relief throughout the night.

Hense my visit to A&E this morning.

The doctor gave me a short dose of valium to endeavour to relax the area. Within an hour my eyes wanted to close and the edge was taken off the intense pain.
It has indeed been a day of rest!

Yet in the midst of the pain in the middle of the night, what a comfort to be able to say "Thank you Lord that even though I am in agony you are still in control, and you promise to turn even this to my good".

Been praying for you today, for relief from the pain and a good night's rest. What a day you had.

Ferby, you're amazing.
I totally admire someone who goes through a whole load of cr*p and yet still holds onto their faith in God and still says thank you.
Hope you get some respite from this nerve pain.
Btw, I love your poetry, it's moving, motivational and superb

Hey Ferby,

How are you feeling these days?
I hope better after that trip to A & E

I have finally got over my valium hang over!!
Had another session with the physio today, still no improvement though.
Back to work tomorrow now that my head has cleared.
I have an appointment with an Acupuncturist on Friday to aid pain control so swimming is still out which I'm finding hard as I am a water baby.
Appreciate your prayers. Thank the Lord He is still on the throne.

Hey there,
How did today's appointment go? Was thinking about you

Hi Bunnygirl

Thanks for thinking of me today.
Movement has been so much better today and pain almost non existant.
Strange, I went to this Acupuncturist
and all she did was stick pins in me!!
Sorry, my sense of humour is returning!
It went well, also good to be back at work.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers, seems like I have known you all for ages.

Praying that your relief from the pain continues,Ferby.

I know all about it. I had my neck fractured ,and nerve damage done to the base of my skull and lower back in a car accident. I was in and out of hospital and nothing seemed to work and it was either morphine or trying acupuncture. Thankfully the acupuncture gave some relief.

Myotherapy keeps the pain in control and it is such a comfort to know that He is in control.

Hi Gail

Pain a lot better thank you, however whenever at rest the whole area seems to seize up and get cramps. I have more physio scheduled this week so hopefully this will sort it out.
Went for a quick five mile walk this evening and had a blessed time with the Lord. Will do a post tomorrow if time permits.

A quick 5 mile walk.... sounds exhausting. :)
You live in pllce where you have fantasic scenery for taking walks. Do you walk near the ocean? I love the sea. It is so calming for me.
